43rd AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting was held at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney on the 30th of December with an Opening Session featuring Welcome Remarks by Hon. Simon Crean, Chairman, Australia-Korea Business Council and Jeong-woo Choi, Chairman, Korea-Australia Business Council, Welcome Remarks by H.E Catherine Raper, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Jeong-sik Kang, Korean Ambassador to Australia to the Commonwealth of Australia and The Hon. Dominic Perrottet MP, Premier of New South Wales.
This year’s Joint Meeting, celebrating the theme 'powering future development in the bilateral relationship', was once again a key opportunity for delegates to engage with business leaders in key sectors, trade and investment experts, and senior government officials, identify and develop new business partnerships and R&D collaborations between Australia and Korea and shape and influence government policy in the Australia-Korea economic relationship.
With five key industry sessions across the event, the Joint Meeting featured senior industry leaders from Australia and Korea, discussing a range of topics including green energy, critical minerals, defence, education, renewables and hydrogen, infrastructure, agriculture and financial services opportunities between our two countries.
