The flagship event each year is the joint meeting between the two business councils, the Australia-Korea Business Council (AKBC) and the Korea-Australia Business Council (KABC), which this year will be held on 12 – 13 November in Sydney, Australia. The 40th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting is widely regarded by senior decision makers and key influencers from industry, government and academia involved in Australia-Korea business as the one event in the year not to be missed.
This year, AKBC will host the 40th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting under the theme of ‘Celebrating 40 years: charting a new course in the bilateral relationship’. We expect the conversation to focus on energy, including renewables and hydrogen, biotechnology, financial services, infrastructure and innovation.
The 40th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting attracts a senior delegation from Korea, led by the KABC Chairman and CEO of POSCO, Mr Jeong Woo Choi. The Australian delegation will be led by the recently appointed chair of the AKBC, the Hon. Simon Crean.
