Samsung C&T Co. Australia and GenusPlus Group secure key contracts for MREH
Exciting news in the realm of Australia-Korea collaboration! Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, in partnership with GenusPlus Group, has achieved a significant milestone by securing three key contracts for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the Balance of Plant scope and BESS installation. This accomplishment is part of Phase 1 of the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub (MREH) and reflects our commitment to advancing energy businesses, especially in renewables and hydrogen, across Australia. MREH, strategically located 25km northwest of central Melbourne, is now proudly home to Australia's largest battery energy storage project, featuring three independent generators with a combined capacity of 600MW/1,600MWh. The joint venture between Samsung C&T and GenusPlus is dedicated to completing the balance of the plant by 2025, serving as a pivotal moment in Australia's journey towards establishing itself as a prominent global green energy hub. We look forward to furthering the collaboration between Australia and Korea in the renewable energy sector and contributing to the sustainable future of both nations 🇦🇺 🇰🇷.
