NEWS: POSCO to source more graphite from Tanzania

Participants in the signing ceremony for POSCO International's $40 million investment in the acquisition of a 19.9 percent stake in Black Rock Mining pose at Crown Towers in Perth, Australia, Tuesday. The Korean firm said that the deal allows it to annually source an additional 30,000 tons of graphite from the Australian company's mine in Tanzania over the next 25 years. Previously, POSCO International signed a contract with Black Rock Mining to annually source 750,000 tons of graphite over the next 25 years, as part of efforts to establish a supply chain for its battery materials business.
