NEWS: Perth Will Host the 45th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting

Perth will host the 45th Australia-Korea Business Council (AKBC) and Korea-Australia Business Council (KABC) Joint Meeting from September 1-3.

The AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting will bring together Korean and Australian delegates from business and government sectors, providing an opportunity for them to strengthen existing relationships and explore new partnerships.

Roger Cook, Premier of Western Australia, will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with In-Kyo Cheong, Minister of Trade at Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE). This MoU builds on the Letter of Intent signed in January 2023, aiming to boost collaboration between the Western Australian Government and MOTIE, particularly in clean energy development and processing.

Premier Roger Cook states, “it is a privilege to be able to host the annual AKBC and KABC Joint Meeting, to progress new opportunities between our regions and put our State on show for the visiting delegation."
