Importance of the bilateral relationship in the financial sector

📢 NEWS 📢
We are excited to share that the introduction of the Australia-Korea Business Council has led to an insightful article featuring Dr. Doo-won Lee from the University of Sydney in the Korean media outlet, Yonhap Infomax.

Dr. Lee emphasises the importance of establishing cooperative relationships between the National Pension Service (NPS) in Korea, which manages over KRW 100 trillion (AUD 1,000 billion), and super funds in Australia. He also pointed out that there is still work to be done in raising awareness about Korea as an attractive investment destination.

Despite being Australia’s third-largest trading partner, Korea currently ranks only 17th in terms of foreign investment in Australia. This gap presents significant opportunities for enhanced financial collaboration.

The AKBC has a Financial Services Sub-Committee. If you are interested in joining the sub-committee, please contact us at info@akbc.com.au.

Join us at the upcoming Australia-Korea Superannuation and Pension Symposium on November 28. As a partner for this event, the AKBC will assist our members in engaging with the NPS and KOFIA delegation from Korea.
