Tips to maximise your fertility
- Diet and exercise: Both before and during pregnancy it is recommended to follow a healthy diet and exercise program. This includes a balanced diet rich in lean proteins, fruits and vegetables, as well as regular moderate exercise three times per week.
- Avoid consuming alcohol or smoking: Alcohol consumption should be restricted or eliminated when trying to conceive as they can have an effect on the fertility of both partners.
- Limit your caffeine intake: We recommend no more than 1-2 cups of caffeinated beverages a day while you are trying to conceive.
- Reduce your stress levels, where possible: Relaxation methods such as yoga, meditation, and walking can be beneficial in helping to reduce your stress levels.
- Avoid using lubricants: Lubricants can affect sperm quality and should be avoided if you are trying to conceive.
- Consider taking folic acid: We recommend taking a folic acid supplement
- Consider your exposure to toxins: While we are faced with a wide variety of environmental toxins daily, limiting your exposure to toxins or using all safety measures possible is ideal when trying to conceive.
