Dear AKBC Members,

We are pleased to bring you updates on recent developments that have marked a busy and productive month of September for the AKBC.

A notable achievement was the successful conclusion of the 44th Korea-Australia Business Council-Australia-Korea Business Council Joint Meeting, a pivotal event that saw the active participation of over 200 distinguished political and business leaders from both Korea and Australia. The theme of the conference, "Cultivating an Innovative Future via Korea-Australia Collaboration," underscored our commitment to exploring innovative pathways in our bilateral relationship. WA Premier Hon. Roger Cook was a special guest at this year's Joint Meeting, announcing the winning bid to host the next 45th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting in Western Australia in 2024.

In the days prior to the Joint Meeting, AKBC led a financial services delegation to Seoul for our financial service sub-committee members, which included a roundtable session with the Korea National Pension Service (NPS), the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) and the Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA). During this delegation, AKBC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KOFIA  to promote mutual investment and information sharing.
