INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE INQUIRY INTO SMEs ACCESSING THE BENEFITS OF AUSTRALIA’S FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS
Members of the Australia-Korea Business Council are invited to participate in a roundtable public hearing on 30 July at 9:00am at the Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens for the Trade Sub‐Committee’s inquiry into SMEs accessing the benefits of Australia’s free trade agreements. Please inform us ASAP at both the JSCFADT@aph.gov.au and firstname.lastname@example.org if the 9:00 am on 30 July will be a suitable time.
The hearing itself will be an discussion to find out the views of the AKBC’s Victorian members on how Australia can improve access to free trade agreements by small and medium sized enterprises. Owing to your extensive experience and understanding of KAFTA, the Trade Sub-Committee would welcome sharing your knowledge of how the KAFTA is working for exporters in Victoria. The members and senators will also seek any insights on how federal and state governments in Australia can best assist with growing trade in goods and services with South Korea.

We request that you arrive at the rooms no later than 8.45 am.
At the commencement of the hearing you and any AKBC colleagues participating will be invited to state your names and the capacity in which you appear. You will then be invited to make opening remarks if you wish, before a period of open discussion and questions between Committee members and the AKBC and other exporters.
